What the app doesn't use
No account, no ads, no advertising ID, no data sold.
Your progress
Your grids, notebook and settings stay on your phone. They aren't sent anywhere, except in your phone's own backup if you've turned it on (Apple or Google).
Usage statistics
To know which games and levels are played, the app sends a few events: a grid started or finished (game, level, mode, duration, number of hints), a tutorial finished, a daily puzzle finished, an achievement won, the pass page opened. Each event also carries the app version, the system (iOS or Android), the device type (phone or tablet) and the phone's language.
These events contain no name, no email address and no device identifier. The app draws a random session number at each launch and only keeps it in memory: nothing is stored on your phone to recognize you, and two launches of the app aren't linked together. Our statistics server, which we host ourselves (Umami), derives the country, region and city from your IP address, without storing the address.
These statistics are only used to improve the games, for the publisher's sole benefit. They rely on our legitimate interest and meet the conditions of the CNIL, the French data protection authority, for doing without consent. They're kept for 25 months at most, backups included, on our server in France, then deleted. Only the publisher views their dashboard, through an encrypted connection with two-factor authentication.
You can turn them off at any time in Settings, "Statistics": the app then sends nothing.
Purchases
The pass is bought in the app, through the App Store or Google Play: Apple or Google take the payment, under their own terms and privacy policy. We never see your payment details, your name or your email address.
To check and restore your pass, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States), our processor. It receives a random purchase identifier, the purchase details sent by the store (product, date, price, store country, transaction number) and technical information (system, app and system versions, language, IP address). The transfer to the United States is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. This data is kept as long as it's needed to restore your pass.
If you write to us
Your email address and message are only used to reply to you. They're kept for 3 years at most after our last exchange, in the support@mozaiko.app mailbox, hosted by OVHcloud in France.
This website
No cookies, no statistics, no visit logs, nothing loaded from another site. It's hosted by OVHcloud, in France.
Who receives this data
No data is sold or used for advertising. Our processors: OVHcloud (server and support@mozaiko.app mailbox, in France), a storage provider in France (encrypted backups of the statistics) and RevenueCat (purchases, United States). Apple and Google handle your purchases on their own behalf.
Children
Mozaiko suits all ages and asks for no personal information. A child's purchases go through the store's settings, such as asking a parent's approval.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its processing, or object to usage measurement, by writing to support@mozaiko.app. Since statistics carry no identifier, we can't find the ones that concern you; turning them off in the app is the simplest option. For your purchase, include the store's order number. You can also contact the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
Changes
If this page changes, its update date changes too. A significant change is announced in the app's release notes.
